David Komito

David Ross Komito is a Buddhist teacher and author on the subjects of Mādhyamaka Buddhist philosophy, meditation and the psychology of religion.

Komito received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, his M.A. in Religious Studies, M.S. in Counseling and Ph.D. in Tibetan Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington.[1] He currently teaches in the Religious Studies Program at Eastern Oregon University[1] and since 1987 has lectured at San Francisco Zen Center and other Buddhist centers in the Western USA.[2]

He is married to the thanka artist Kayla Komito.[3]
